Gradual increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of new snow and strong wind. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls above approximately 2000 m. As a consequence of the moderate to strong northwesterly wind the prevalence and size of these avalanche prone locations will increase. Avalanches are rather small but can be released easily by a single winter sport participant. In isolated cases the avalanches can be released in the various wind slab layers and reach medium size.

Snowpack
>Above approximately 1500 m there are 30 to 50 cm of snow. Adjacent to ridgelines in all aspects as well as at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. The new snow is lying on soft layers on wind-protected shady slopes above approximately 2400 m.
