The new snow-covered wind slabs can be released easily by a single winter sport participant on very steep north, northeast and southeast facing slopes above approximately 2400 m. These are mostly small.

Adjacent to ridgelines in all aspects snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Up to 5 cm of snow fell on Sunday above approximately 1800 m. High altitudes and shady slopes: The upper section of the snowpack is largely stable. New snow is lying on old snow containing large grains. Low and intermediate altitudes: The new snow of yesterday is lying on a crust. Backcountry touring calls for caution and restraint.
