Wet and gliding snow require caution.
As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation individual moist snow slides and avalanches are possible as the day progresses, but they will be mostly small. In addition a certain danger of gliding avalanches exists.
Snowpack
>At high altitude snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. At low and intermediate altitudes less snow than usual is lying. As a consequence of rising temperatures and rain the snowpack can not consolidate by late in the night. The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. Backcountry tours should be started early and concluded timely.
Tendency
The danger of moist avalanches will persist.
