New snow and wind slabs: The snow sport conditions outside marked and open pistes above the tree line are treacherous.
The wind slabs can be released easily by a single winter sport participant in particular on northeast to east to south facing aspects and generally above the tree line. In isolated cases the avalanches in these loacations are medium-sized, caution is to be exercised in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls as well as at the border to Ribagorça and Pallars.
The new snow can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases in all aspects. The prevalence of the avalanche prone locations will increase with altitude. They are to be found in extremely steep terrain. Avalanches are rather small.

Snowpack
>20 to 25 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, fell in the past few hours in all altitude zones. Over a wide area new snow and wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. At the southern and eastern borders of Aran as well as at high altitude snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.
