Avalanche Problem
Wind-drifted snow

2000m

Wet snow

2000m

Fresh wind slabs represent the main danger. Moist avalanches as the day progresses.
The warm fresh snow and in particular the wind slabs to be found in particular on west, north and east facing slopes can be released easily, or, in isolated cases naturally above approximately 2000 m. The fresh wind slabs are in some cases deep and prone to triggering. Sometimes Explanation: "these" may only stand for "these avalanches" are medium-sized. In the regions exposed to heavier precipitation and at high altitude the avalanche situation is more precarious.

As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation moist avalanches are to be expected from the early morning, even medium-sized ones.

Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities call for defensive route selection.
Snowpack
>
Over a wide area 10 to 30 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen since yesterday above approximately 2000 m. Up to 5 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall until the evening. The southeasterly wind has transported the new snow significantly. Over a wide area new snow and wind slabs are lying on a moist old snowpack. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded poorly. Low and intermediate altitudes: As a consequence of falling temperatures a crust will form on the surface during the night. At low altitude from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
Tendency
Gradual decrease in danger of moist avalanches in particular on sunny slopes. Slight decrease in danger of dry avalanches on shady slopes.
