Avalanche Problem
Wet snow

Wind-drifted snow

2400m

Moist snow slides and gliding avalanches are possible from the middle of the day. Wind slabs in the regions of the south that are exposed to the foehn wind. Weakly bonded old snow on little-used, rather lightly snow-covered shady slopes.
From the middle of the day small gliding avalanches and moist snow slides are possible. These avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on steep southeast to south to west facing slopes in all altitude zones.

Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in isolated cases and mostly by large additional loads on little-used, rather lightly snow-covered shady slopes. Areas where the snow cover is rather shallow where hard layers are lying on a weakly bonded old snowpack are especially unfavourable. In very isolated cases the avalanches in these loacations are large.

Tops and ridges of the divide with the Esera basin and the Rigorçana basin: The small wind slabs of Sunday are in individual cases still prone to triggering on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2300 m.

Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.
Snowpack
>
The snowpack will be in most cases stable.

Near-ridge shady slopes: Towards its surface, the snowpack is faceted.

Sunny slopes: The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will soften during the day.

At low altitude from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
Tendency
Temporary increase in danger of moist and wet avalanches as a consequence of the moist air.
