Wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence.
As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong wind from northwesterly directions, dangerous wind slabs formed on Sunday adjacent to ridgelines on east, southeast and south facing slopes. These can in isolated cases be released by small loads and reach medium size.
Especially on very steep sunny slopes small moist snow slides and avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. These can be released by people.

>Less new snow than expected in large parts of Aran: 2 to 5 cm of snow fell on Sunday above approximately 2000 m. The northwesterly wind has transported the new snow significantly.
The small quantity of fresh snow of yesterday and the mostly small wind slabs are lying on a crust on sunny slopes above approximately 2000 m. Shady slopes and adjacent to ridgelines: In some cases wind slabs are lying on old snow containing large grains.
At low altitude from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
