Moist and wet avalanches are possible from the middle of the day.
A clear night will be followed by favourable avalanche conditions over a wide area. From the early morning as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation there will be a gradual increase in the danger of wet and gliding avalanches to level 2 (moderate). This applies on very steep sunny slopes at intermediate and high altitudes, as well as on very steep shady slopes below approximately 2000 m. The avalanches in these loacations are rather small.
The conditions are favourable in the morning for snow sport activities. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.
Snowpack
>
The spring-like weather conditions gave rise to rapid moistening of the snowpack in all aspects. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be reduced in some case. Sunny slopes: The surface of the snowpack will soften during the day. Shady slopes high altitudes: The surface of the snowpack will hardly soften at all.
In all regions at intermediate and high altitudes less snow than usual is lying. At low altitude from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
Tendency
The danger of moist and wet avalanches will persist.
