Wet snow

Weakly bonded old snow at elevated altitudes. Moist snow slides during the day and gliding avalanches require caution.
The new snow and wind slabs of last week are poorly bonded with the old snowpack in particular on northwest to north to northeast facing aspects and at high altitude. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in some places by people also on steep, little used shady slopes. Sometimes the dry avalanches are medium-sized and in some cases easily released.

As the day progresses as the moisture increases there will be a gradual increase in the danger of moist and wet snow slides. In addition a latent danger of gliding avalanches exists. Sometimes Explanation: "these" may only stand for "these avalanches" are medium-sized.

Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities call for meticulous route selection.
Snowpack
>
The new snow of the weekend has settled to a large extent in all aspects. This snow is lying on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack in particular on shady slopes and at high altitude. Snow profiles and stability tests show a treacherous avalanche situation. All aspects: The snowpack will become moist as the day progresses. As the penetration by moisture increases the prevalence and size of the avalanche prone locations will increase by the evening. In particular above the tree line a lot of snow is lying for the time of year.
Tendency
Further increase in danger of wet and gliding avalanches until the temperature drops. Saturday: In some localities increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of new snow and wind.
