This is the final hazard map for the winter 2023/24.
Wind slabs above approximately 2000 m. As a consequence of solar radiation moist avalanches are possible.
The deep wind slabs can be released easily. or in isolated cases naturally, in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2000 m. In isolated cases avalanches are large.
As a consequence of solar radiation numerous small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist avalanches are possible in all altitude zones.
The conditions are unfavourable for backcountry touring in steep terrain.
