Wind-drifted snow
The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality.
New snow and wind slabs at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions.
Wind slabs in the high Alpine regions. The wind slabs are mostly small but in some cases prone to triggering. In particular slopes adjacent to ridgelines are unfavourable.
Snowpack
>Above the tree line there are 5 to 15 cm of snow, and even more in some localities. The new snow is lying on soft layers on wind-protected shady slopes above approximately 2400 m. Over a wide area from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying.
Tendency
As the snowfall becomes more intense the prevalence and size of the avalanche prone locations will increase on Sunday.
