New snow and wind slabs represent the main danger. The conditions are dangerous for ski touring, freeriding and snowshoe hiking outside marked and open pistes.
The more recent wind slabs can be released very easily in all aspects at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. Sometimes the avalanches in these loacations are medium-sized. The new snow can be released by a single winter sport participant in all aspects above the tree line. Mostly these are small.
Snowpack
>
Over a wide area 15 to 20 cm of snow has fallen in all altitude zones. Above approximately 800 m snow will fall from early morning over a wide area. The upper section of the snowpack consists of faceted crystals and its surface consists of surface hoar. In its middle, the snowpack is favourably layered. Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities call for extensive experience and great restraint.
Tendency
The danger of dry avalanches will increase a little during the day.
