Wind slabs and weakly bonded old snow represent the main danger.
The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2000 m. In particular in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain Explanation: "these" may only stand for "these avalanches" can be released in the weakly bonded old snow and reach medium size. This applies in particular in the southern half of Aran.
The current avalanche situation calls for experience and a certain restraint.
Snowpack
>
Intermediate and high altitudes and shady slopes: The wind was moderate to strong. Fresh and older wind slabs remain in some cases prone to triggering. In some cases the various wind slabs have bonded still only poorly together.
Sunny slopes: The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will soften during the day.
At low altitude from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
Tendency
Gradual increase in danger of moist avalanches as a consequence of warming.
