Wind slabs and weakly bonded old snow represent the main danger.
The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads, in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2300 m. In particular in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain Explanation: "these" may only stand for "these avalanches" can be released in the weakly bonded old snow and reach medium size. This applies in particular in the southern half of Aran.
Backcountry touring calls for caution and restraint.
Snowpack

Intermediate and high altitudes and shady slopes: The wind was moderate to strong. In some cases the various wind slabs have bonded still only poorly together.
Sunny slopes: The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will hardly soften at all.
At low altitude from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
Tendency
Gradual decrease in avalanche danger as the temperature drops.
