Wind slabs require caution.
Fresh wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2300 m. Explanation: "these" may only stand for "these avalanches" are small. Older wind slabs can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads, also on shady slopes. In very isolated cases Explanation: "these" may only stand for "these avalanches" are medium-sized.
The current avalanche situation calls for a certain restraint.
Snowpack
>
Intermediate and high altitudes and shady slopes: The wind was strong to storm force adjacent to ridgelines. In some cases the various wind slabs have bonded still only poorly together.
Sunny slopes: The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will soften later than the day before.
At low altitude from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
Tendency
Significant increase in avalanche danger as a consequence of the precipitation.
