Avalanche Problem
Wind-drifted snow

2300m

A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail. The new snow of the last few days can be released in some cases above approximately 2300 m.
Extremely steep shady slopes: Some fresh snow as well as the small wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases in particular on very steep north, east and south facing slopes above approximately 2300 m. The avalanches are small but in some cases easily released. The wind slabs are lying on a crust in all aspects.
In addition from the early morning on east, south and west facing slopes, some small moist avalanches are possible.
Snowpack
>
In some localities 5 to 10 cm of snow has fallen since Wednesday.
Sunny slopes: The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust.
Shady slopes high altitudes: The snowpack is favourably layered and its surface consists of loosely bonded snow lying on a melt-freeze crust.
In all regions at intermediate and high altitudes less snow than usual is lying. At low altitude from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying.
Tendency
As a consequence of the precipitation the prevalence and size of the avalanche prone locations will increase on Tuesday.
